A Letter For You from Dr. Stanley

To many people, the cross is simply a decoration or symbol of the Christian faith. But how often do we recognize it was originally a symbol of shame, punishment, and death that was despised by everyone?
That’s why it was so revolutionary that Jesus embraced the cross, taking on our shame and death, and triumphed over it. Because of what He did on the cross, our Savior declared us no longer guilty—allowing us to die to sin and live in His righteousness. By His wounds, you and I are healed!
Nothing in life can compare to our relationship with Jesus Christ. When I think of how He suffered for me, how could I ever say, “I don’t have time to serve You”? How could I withhold anything from Him when He denied Himself and gave everything? Once you understand what the cross truly means, you’ll want to live fully surrendered. “Crucified with Christ,” you’ll find joy in watching Him do His awesome, wondrous work in your life.
Prayerfully yours,
