Everywhere You Are, God Is

By Babbie Mason

Bubba’s Bar-B-Q Restaurant was packed and bustling with activity. As I was chatting with Bubba’s mother about catering a gathering at our home, a lady at a nearby table spoke up. “Babbie Mason! I thought that was you. Why, you should sing us a song!”

Right then and there, I felt impressed to do just that. Without hesitation, I lifted my hands and sang the chorus of “How Great Thou Art” as if I were on stage at Carnegie Hall. Suddenly, everyone stopped chatting and laid their forks down, men took off their ball caps, and that small restaurant became a sanctuary. Every heart in the room was arrested by God’s loving and all-consuming presence. When I was done, there were a few “Amens” and some applause. But what followed is what I will long remember.

The cook came out from the kitchen, her smile mingled with tears. She took my hand and said, “I’ve been going through some tough times recently and wondered if God even knew I was down hereif He even hears my prayers. I’ve started going back to church, but I wondered if it was making any difference. But He sent you here tonight just for me. Now I know He loves me and that I’m doing the right thing.”

God doesn’t just love you because He loves everyone. He loves you as if you were the only one to love. This kind of love deserves a response! Allow this love revelation to spark a love revolution of heartfelt worship in your life.

Remember, anywhere and everywhere you are, God is: in the grocery store, rush-hour traffic, the local restaurantat this very moment, His presence is with you. Will you pause to thank Him for His loving presence in your life?

That story is so encouraging. It reminds me that God is not blind or uncaring. He sees and He cares. During trials sing His praise, He is there and will not fail you.
