Unshakeable Faith

Read | Isaiah 40:9-14

Unshakeable faith develops as we embrace the foundational truths of the Bible. The sovereignty of God is one of those truths. To have faith that bears up under the hardest trials, we need to know that the Lord is always in control.

What do you accept as true about your heavenly Father? God’s sovereignty can be hard to believe when a loved one gets a catastrophic diagnosis or the place where you work is closing down. And when you hear news reports of scandal and destruction, you may find it even harder to reconcile that biblical truth with the evidence around you.

God invites us to discover the reality of His sovereignty through the pages of His Word. He bids us come to Him in faith. He beckons us to draw near to know the Truth—Jesus Christ (John 14:6). He is waiting for us to turn to Him with our fears and doubts so that He may reveal the depths of His love and wisdom.

God has filled His Word with assurance of His sovereignty, care, and concern for us. Do you honestly long to know Him as He really is? If so, be encouraged by the promise He spoke through Jeremiah the prophet: “You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart” (Jer. 29:13). Set aside any preconceived notions about how God should act, and the Holy Spirit will reveal that He is exactly who He says He is. Then, as we come to know Him more fully, our faith will grow in depth and steadiness.

Jesus invites us to come near and learn from Him (Matt. 11:28). Won’t you accept the Savior’s invitation and discover the truths that lead to unshakeable faith?

GOD is all knowing and powerful HE is there for us . No matter what kind of trials we are all in, He will never leave us or forsake us. Trials may come our way but those trial make us aware o the presence of GOD. And on those trials our patience and faith was even clearer and we become more closer to GOD than ever. So whatever circumstances we may have just remember GOD knows what is best for us

Father, If I did not know that you are in control of the situations in my life, I would have fainted, or collasped before now. I know without a shadow of doubt that it is you who are in control of all the circumstances in my life and the life of my loved ones. Father I love you with all my heart, soul and might. Thank you for blessing me to be near you at all times. Even when I don't sense you are with me, I have the faith that you aare near me. Therefore, I will draw near to you and bless you at all times.
    Blessings,
    From your daughter 'Eve'-lyn

Even after 20 years of faith its hard to deal with doubt. It seems so wrong but then I am reminded that God gives us rest from the very thing we fear and doubt is fear.

The devotional today, plays perfectly into the study I am doing now, Knowing God as He Longs for You to See Him by Chip Ingram...ie the sovereignty of God, just one of His many attributes. I have struggle over the past year with the loss of my sister at such an early age. It has crippled me emotionally, and spiritually. I have had to come to the knowledge and acceptance that, in Gods plan, this was needful for reasons I just simply cant know at this time. God is always working for my good.
