Do You Know God?

Beginning a true friendship with the One who loves you most.

If God seems like a stranger, it may be because you haven't yet accepted His invitation to come to Him as you are and receive His offer of an eternal relationship with Him. Jesus loves you so much that He came to earth to die in your place and suffer the consequences of your sins (John 3:16).

If you’ll believe in Him and receive His offer of forgiveness, you can begin the great adventure of developing an intimate friendship with God, starting today. Repent of your sin, believe that Jesus is God the Son and trust Him as your Savior. He will freely forgive all your sins and give you a fresh beginning. When you invite Him to be Lord of your life, His Spirit will come to live within you and empower you to know Him and live a new life for Him.

You can use the following prayer (or pray in your own words):

Lord Jesus, I believe You are truly the Son of God who died for my sins and conquered the power of death by your resurrection. I confess that I have sinned against You in thought, word, and deed. Please forgive all my wrongdoing, and let me live in relationship with You from now on. I receive You as my personal Savior, accepting the work You accomplished on the cross once and for all on my behalf. Thank You for saving me. I welcome you into my heart and ask You to enable me, by your Spirit, to live a life that is pleasing to You. Amen.

This was very helpful reading. It assured me that God loves me just as
I am, and wants to build an ongoing relationship with me so that
I may grow and mature in the ways of the Lord.
