This morning I awoke a little early, enjoying the outdoors. I sat on my porch contemplating God's abundant blessings including you too, Dr. Stanley. I remembered you saying "read a portion of the Bible everyday" so I got my Bible and starting reading where I had left off. I am reading Romans and there were two verses that really spoke to me. They were Romans 5:20-21. "The law was added so that the trespass might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more, so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (NIV)."

This made me realize that though I may die, Jesus' death through my belief in Him increases my grace so that I will have eternal life. These two verses sum up a lot about how God works in my life, and as long as I keep rekindling my faith in Christ, His grace will increase. And even though I sin by nature, Christ's grace will increase that much more!

Dr. Stanley, people don't realize how profound these two verses are. And I am sure that there are many more verses that will back these verses up. It makes me feel real safe and secure knowing that God is here even to this very day even if I am the biggest sinner in the world. And I feel peaceful and futuristic knowing that God is working in my life. I still remember back to my college days the song I would sing to myself: "Learn your lessons well, someday He will tell where to go, what to do, what to say."

Thank you, Dr. Stanley, for encouraging me to read my Bible every day, just like I did in college. It makes me feel joyful feel knowing that God is the same today as He was yesterday and will be tomorrow.
