This Gift is Forever

By Dr. Charles Stanley

You and I do not have eternal life because we exhibit unwavering faith. We are saved because at a moment in time we expressed faith in our enduring Lord, Jesus Christ, and what He accomplished for us on the cross. (Continue reading This Gift Is Forever.)

I know he lives, because he lives in me. We are in constant contact. My decisions are made with him. There are times I slip and make a decision on my own, later to regret it. He instantly has my thanks for everything he provides for me, I need nothing else in this life but to be a child of God and live my life for him.

to know everything is in his hands, and what peace I have after finally realizing this.

I too have walked down that road of Divorce, I am a young babe in christ with a calling to not only sing but preach at my singing. With out my wife at my side it is very hard to get up their but I am doing my best. I have read about you're plit and it has given me strength. I will continue to allow God to fight this battle for me and continue to preach his word. If you have any message along these line to encourage us as we walk I would appreciate it .

    Thanks and God Bless

How simple it is to be saved if you believe with your whole heart and soul. I have been saved since Sept 13 1993 and I literly felt the Holy Spirit come into my heart. I was kneeling at my coffee tablel, and I didn't even know I was going to do it, it just happened, but when I was done, I got up and I thought, " I have to be baptized now". I got on the phone and phoned my sister and ask her to make arrangements with the Pastor. I was baptized 2weeks later. I feel wounderful because I have no worries. Five yrs ago I found I had breast cancer. I had surgery and I am free of any cancer at this, I know that I turned it all over to my Holy Father because I couldn't do it alone.I love my Holy Father and know he is real and loves us all if we believe.

The best explanation I have ever seen as to why you cannot lose your salvation. This gives me great confidence in the fact that Jesus came to seek those who are lost and he is still doing so today.

Thank you Dr. Stanley for revealing this passage for I had thought that had lost my salvation because of sinning after he became my savior, I felt so bad that i had thought i trashed his gift to me. Heavenly Father restore to me the Joy of my salvation as you did for David and let your word fill my heart and my mind that I would be obedient and grateful.

I have read your article on the Gift of our Salvation as Forever. Does this means saved always saved? I am confused because I have read warnings if we do not cherish and protect our Salvation. Ephesians 5:1-7, Philippians 2:12, Hebrews 2:1-3; 5:9 among others.
Please help me understand, my up-bringing in the Lord's way has been that we can lose our Salvation. God bless you and your family always.

I really appreciate your message. I accepted Christ, but I know that I need to grow as a christian. This message and perhaps one pertaining to backsliding are very helpful. I'd just like to thank you for your words.

To God be the Glory!!! This really blessed my soul. I have heard alot of false prophecy, how i can lose my salvation. Now i know that this a gift from Father that He will never take back. And also that when i die i will be present with the Father, i was told that we will be some where resting until the day of judgment. Now I know that this was a lie. Thank you Pastor Stanley for telling me the truth, now i am truly free.

I give God praise every minute that he gave us the ultimate gift - His Son, who, along with the Father loved me enough, to suffer, be crucified, be buried and rise again on the 3rd day, for my salvation. Was not deserving of this gift, a terrible sinner was I. Repented of sins for salvation and have the assurance of eternal life. God's love is amazing - as one of my favorite songs by Michael W. Smith, says so much for me - God is An Awesome God. My prayers for your continuance as God's servant in the ministries telling of God's awesome love and Christ Jesus's saving grace. My prayer through Christ Jesus. Amen.
