How can I find courage in the face of challenges?

By Dr. Charles Stanley

Any time God requires us to face trials and tribulations, He always provides the courage to meet the demand. In 1 Samuel 17, we see God's supernatural strength in action in the life of David. David was a man of great courage—not merely human courage, but courage rooted in the sovereignty of God. (Continue reading How can I find courage in the face of challenges?)

Dear Dr. Stanley, My 13 yrs old son Shemar, was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma stage 4 last year, a disease that is consider to afflict older people. How can this be considered a good thing? How can we work through this? We have ask the elders to pray, we have done everything I think according to the word to see healing and restoration come to him, but it seems like it gets worst. I believe My Father loves my son and I .but watching my son suffer the way he is, seems so unlike the Heavenly Father who said in his word" That if our earthly father know how to give good gifts......". I have no basis on which to accuse my Father of anything sinister so I just need to know what it is in us that needs to be conform to his way. How do I help my son cope with all the negative reports and things that are trying to destroy his life.

I enjoyed reading this article and I have witnessed faith in my life a few years back when I was not expected to live; as my kidneys had shut down and was told I would be on dialysis the rest of my life. But the grace of God and my strong faith in him ; my kidneys returned to normal andI have became a medical history. God is good all the time--and all the time God is good!
