We gain citizenship into heaven by being born into God’s family. Jesus clearly stated, “You must be born again” (John 3:3, 5). That means we believe He paid the sin debt of the world on our behalf.
Dr. Stanley explains why the cross and the resurrection are the two foundational truths in all of Christianity. They serve as reminders of how God will keep His promise that Jesus will come back again, giving Christians a sense of eagerness for His return. Until then, we can remain busy through loving, giving and serving the Lord. After all, Jesus lives inside us, enabling us to love those who are lovable and unlovable.
