Scripture says that when we place our faith in Christ, we become new creations. We’re instructed to “put on the new self,” which was created in holiness (Eph. 4:24). But how difficult this turns out to be! The temptation of sinful thoughts continues, plaguing our desire for purity. Faced with a seemingly impossible task, we might even give up trying to control our thought life. In fact, that’s Satan’s plan—but it doesn’t have to be that way.
