The world despised Jesus to the point that He was crucified on the cross. In John 15, Jesus warns His followers that the world will hate them, too. This world is ruled by the pursuit of money, materialism, greed, and other secular ideals. Dr. Stanley urges followers of Jesus to be set apart from the world and follow Him faithfully.
